DEARBORN — Police are asking the public’s help in solving a homicide in which a Canton Township man was shot while driving Oct. 16.
Police were dispatched to the area of Madison and Bennett about 10 p.m. on the report of a vehicle crashing into several parked vehicles. Police determined the driver, Raymond Mshahwar, 33, had been shot and sometime afterward crashed into the vehicles.
Mshahwar was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call the Dearborn Police Tip Line at 313-943-3030 or Crime Stoppers at 800-SPEAK-UP.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people involved. Anyone providing information can remain anonymous.
“This is a tragic situation and our condolences go out the family of the victim,” Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. “We are urging the public to come forward with information regarding this crime.”
