October 30, 2016 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

LINCOLN PARK – After disbanding two years ago, the city’s Citizens’ Patrol Watch resumes Oct. 30 as part of the Angel’s Night Patrol.

Doors open at 6 p.m. at 1394 Cleophus Parkway, and an orientation will begin about 6:45 p.m. There were also be dinner and snacks for those attending.

Volunteers for the patrol will be issued a radio and car beacon to use as they serve the city with extra eyes and ears. The volunteers will call in any suspicious activity to the Police Department. The length of the patrol depends on how long volunteers want to stay out.
Applications to join the relaunched citizens’ patrol watch will be available along with applications and information about joining the city’s community emergency response team and neighborhood watch.

All volunteers need to bring their license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance. They will be placed on file.
