Four taken to hospital after crash

December 5, 2016 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

LINCOLN PARK — The Downriver Crash Team is investigating a crash Nov. 30 at Goddard and Dix, leaving one 17-year-old severely injured.

Three Southgate teenagers were driving north on Dix Road, approaching Goddard Road, in a Honda Civic when the crash occurred about 9:20 p.m.

Police said the conditions were dark and raining. The driver of the Honda said the vehicle in front of him abruptly stopped. So the Honda driver slammed on his brakes. In doing so, his car became disabled and was stopped in the roadway. A tow truck behind the Honda rear-ended the car.

The driver of the tow truck and three teenagers were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The backseat Honda passenger, 17, was seriously injured.
