Stuff-A-Truck helping homeless veterans

December 5, 2016 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR — The public will get a chance to show their appreciation for veterans Dec. 8 during Stuff-A-Truck at Texas Roadhouse.

The Love A Michigan Vet Project event will be from 3:45 to 10 p.m. at restaurant, 14660 Pardee.

Love A Michigan Vet Project is teaming up with the Taylor Texas Roadhouse to stuff a truck with needed items for homeless veterans in the metropolitan Detroit area. They are hoping to collect new winter coats, boots, underwear, T-shirts, hats, scarves, gloves, blankets, full-size toiletries.

The group is also preparing to visit four shelters to serve more than 200 veterans a full Christmas dinner, where the group will deliver the Stuff-A-Truck items.

Event organizers said the veterans sacrificed so much and this is a way to show them how much they are appreciated.

The Love a Michigan Vet Project also is in need of monetary donations to help with dinner and other items.
