Historical Museum hosting ‘History of Selfridge’ lecture

DEARBORN – The next lecture to land at the Dearborn Historical Museum is all about the history of Selfridge Air National Guard Base.

The lecture, titled “100 Years of History at Selfridge,” will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 4, at the McFadden Ross House, 915 S. Brady St.
All are welcome to attend the free event. Light refreshments will follow.

Located in Harrison Township, Selfridge is one of the several Air Service training camps established when the United States entered World War I. The base is home to the 127th Wing of the Michigan Air National Guard, and is also used by Air Force Reserve, Navy Reserve, Army Reserve, Marine Corps, Army National Guard and Coast Guard.
