DEARBORN – The hours of the Dearborn Public Library will change beginning in January, most notably adding Saturday hours at all locations throughout the year.
The Henry Ford Centennial Library will be open 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday year round.
HFCL will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays but only during the school year in the months September through May.
The Bryant Branch Library and the Esper Branch Library will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. Bryant and Esper will be closed on Fridays and Sundays.
Library Director Maryanne Bartles said the change meets library patrons’ expectations.
“Our goal is to have the libraries open during the hours that we can expect the most usage,” Bartles said. “Our citizens have requested year round Saturday hours at all locations for several years and we are pleased that we can make this adjustment.”
