Multi-vehicle crash compounds

February 23, 2017 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

Photo by Angela Nims A four-vehicle collision on southbound Inkster Road about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 22 injured at least one person. The driver of the first vehicle was stopped and the driver of the second vehicle, driven by John Williams, stopped behind her. Williams then saw the third vehicle barreling toward him in the rearview mirror, but said he couldn’t do anything about it. A fourth vehicle then hit the third vehicle, causing the third vehicle to grind further into Williams’ car and forcing him into the first vehicle. Adding to the mix, another driver heading north on Inkster Road saw the crash and turned around to help. He inadvertently drove into a ditch. Romulus Police are handling the crash and did not return calls as of publication.
