Wayne County seeks correction officers

WCSD logoThe Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is now hiring correction officers for all shifts at the Wayne County Jail.

Salaries range from $31,000 to $57,000 annually. To be eligible, applicants must be a U.S. citizen, 18 or older, high school diploma or equivalent, no felony convictions, valid driver’s license and good driving record, passed Michigan Sheriffs Coordinating and Training Council exam, and passed a Michigan Sheriffs’ Coordinating and Training Council physical agility test.

To be eligible, people must first apply and take a county hiring exam at either the Guardian Building, 500 Griswold in Detroit (ninth floor), or WCSD Headquarters, 4747 Woodward in Detroit.

Applications are accepted 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday at the Guardian Building. Call 313-224-5901 for test dates.
