Henry Ford Hospice seeking volunteers

Henry Ford Hospice will offer an eight-hour volunteer training program in May.

The training will be held at the Henry Ford Hospice Wayne Team office, 17333 Federal Drive, Suite 260, in Allen Park, from 6 to 8 p.m. May 4, and 9 a.m. to noon May 13 and 20.

Topics presented will include the hospice philosophy, death and dying, and grief and loss.

As a part of the hospice team, volunteers help provide extra support for terminally ill patients and their families.

Henry Ford provides at no cost, certified interpreters and other aids and services for the deaf and hard of hearing. To request assistance, call 313-916-1896, or email [email protected] Allow three days for requests to be processed.
