HEIGHTS — Students from the Crestwood School District assisted senior and disabled residents during Spring Fling Clean Up on Earth Day, April 22.

Hosted by City Councilwoman Lisa Hicks-Clayton, the day of service featured students from the Crestwood High School National Honor Society, Riverside Middle School Kiwanis Builders Club and Hillcrest Elementary School Kiwanis K-Kids.

Students raked and cleaned up yards at more than 30 properties.

The community service project brings students, service organizations and local leaders together. Services are available at no cost to disabled and senior citizen residents in the city.

For more information to volunteer, or needed services, call 313 348-9848.
