‘Transformation Tuesdays’ starts June 6
DEARBORN — “Transformation Tuesdays,” a free 10-week workout experience offering fitness-related services and health information, gets underway June 6 at Fairlane Town Center, 19800 Michigan Ave., beginning at 5:30 p.m., and the public is invited to take part.
Participants should enter the mall at the P.F. Chang’s door and go to the Ford Court — not Food Court.
Sponsored by First Responders for Fitness, Beaumont Hospital, Healthy Dearborn, the city of Dearborn and Fairlane Town Center, “Transformation Tuesdays” will provide two, 45-minute workouts, along with fitness evaluations and nutritional workshops and demonstrations.
Following the first “Transformation Tuesdays” meeting, the subsequent eight gatherings will take place outside at historic City Hall Park, on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Maple.
The final “Transformation Tuesday” event will take place during Dearborn’s Homecoming festival at Ford Field Park Aug. 6.
Registration is required. On-site registration begins weekly at 4:30 p.m. and the “Transformation Tuesdays” program runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Prospective participants can also register online here.
Participants do not need to attend all 10 weeks.
“Transformation Tuesdays” is one of many Healthy Dearborn Coalition initiatives that seeks to make the path to healthy and active lifestyles accessible for everyone.
