DEARBORN — Two 22-year-olds died June 11 after the motorcycle on which they were riding struck a pickup truck on Ford Road near Wyoming Avenue.

Police said the motorcycle, driven by Muhammed Al-Dairawi of Dearborn Heights, was driving west on Ford Road about 1 a.m. when it struck a Ford F-150 that was exiting the Ford-Wyoming Drive-In. Al-Dairawi was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcycle passenger, Heba Bazzi, was transported to an area hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.

The occupants of the F-150 were not injured.

Neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor in the crash, but the investigation is ongoing, police said.

“This is a terrible tragedy and we are asking that anyone who may have witnessed the accident to please contact the Dearborn Police Department’s Accident Investigation Bureau at 313-943-2246,” Police Chief Ronald Haddad said.
