Fellowship, food and fun were highlights of the the annual Polish Festival at Our Lady of the Scapular Parish Aug. 25 to 27, which raises needed money for the parish. The church, formerly known as Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 2690 10th St., Wyandotte, offered pony rides and a petting farm this year instead of carnival rides. The dance floor was covered for the first time by a tent, and Mexican versions of Polish food were offered in food tents. Games for children, adult Vegas games, bingo (above) and raffles were also crowd pleasers. Boutiques and bounce houses also were popular draws.
