TAYLOR — The Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the election of five new board members to its 2018 board of directors, and its 2018 board officers.
Kathy Kane, president of Trenton-based marketing firm Market Insights, LLC, and co-publisher of the Trenton Trib, was elected chairman.
“We are pleased to welcome our new board members as we prepare to launch another successful year at the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber,” Kane said. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve our members as the board chairman in 2018.”
Kane and four other business and community leaders will assume their roles on the SWCRC Board: 1st Vice Chair Robert Jones, AT&T; 2nd Vice Chair Ronnie Ruelle, PNC Bank; Secretary Krishelle Kohler, Eldercare Home Care Group; and Treasurer Carol Kruemmer, News-Herald. Their terms will expire on Dec. 31, 2018.
SWCRC also will welcome five new board members on Jan. 1: Sue Trussell, Brownstown Township Downtown Development Authority; Michael Crossman, Servpro Romulus, Taylor, Downriver; Dr. Noel Jackson, Jackson Snider Parker Dentistry in Trenton; Millie Jones, Beaumont Health; and Doug Messana, Ford Motor Co. The new board members will serve two-year terms that expire on Dec. 31, 2019.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated group of leaders to continue to provide tremendous resources and opportunities for our business community in 2018,” SWCRC President Ronald J. Hinrichs said. “Under the strong leadership of our newly elected board chair, Kathy Kane, I am confident that the chamber will continue to be at the forefront of economic development throughout our region.”
