DEARBORN – Friends of the Library Dearborn will host a book and media sale from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at Henry Ford Centennial Library, 16301 Michigan Ave.
The Saturday sale offers a rare opportunity for families and people whose work schedule keeps them from enjoying the usual Wednesday sales.
Items for sale include books, magazines, DVDs, music and dollar grab bags. Special features will include classical and popular music CDs, as well as cookbooks, and autographed books.
The teen and children’s area will be stocked with books for all interests and reading levels. Special features will be classic radio programs on cassette, and health and fitness books and media.
Visitors to the sale will find tables full of fiction and nonfiction books including literature, vintage books and magazines, religion, and poetry, as well as health and fitness books, priced as low as 25 cents per book to several dollars for special items.
FOLD is a non-profit group that supports the library by sponsoring and funding library programs for patrons of all ages. FOLD book sales are presented regularly on the first Wednesday of each month except August and September. All proceeds from the FOLD sales are used to support popular library programs.
