DEARBORN — Several break-ins of unlocked vehicles in the city were reported May 9. A handgun, wallets, credit cards and several other personal items were stolen in the early morning hours.
One of the stolen credit cards was used that day at an area gas station, police said.
Surveillance video from the gas station showed that three people arrived at the station in a silver four-door Cadillac. One of the people used the credit card to make a purchase.
Dearborn police have requested the public’s assistance in identifying any of the people in the video.
Anyone with information regarding the crimes is asked to call the Police Department at 313-943-2241, or call Help Eliminate Auto Theft at 800-242-HEAT.
“In light of the fact that these individuals are now in possession of a handgun, they should be considered armed and dangerous,” Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. “Your help is needed.”
