Michigan’s longest zip line ready for riders
DEARBORN — Looking for a few more thrills in your life? Haven’t been to Camp Dearborn in a while?
Well, check out Camp Dearborn’s newest amenity, a zip line, which will open July 14 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m., presided over by Mayor John O’Reilly Jr.
The 1,400-foot zip line — the longest in Michigan — will take riders from a six-story tower at Elm Circle over the swimming lake and down to the main beach.
The zip line will be open from noon to 6:30 p.m. Thursday through Monday.
Tickets, available at the zip line tower, are priced at $13 per ride or three rides for $30 for overnight campers and $15 per ride or three rides for $40 for patrons visiting for the day.
