DEARBORN – Off-price apparel retailer Forman Mills will open its newest store in Dearborn Aug. 3. The department-style store at 5751 Mercury Drive in the Fairlane North Plaza is in the space previously occupied by Sports Authority.
Doors will open at 8 a.m.
Opening festivities are scheduled for Aug. 3 to 5, including live radio remotes, tasty treats, and giveaways for the entire family.
Regular store hours are will be 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
More than 100 new jobs have been created as a result of the store opening.
With the opening of the new Dearborn store, the company will have 38 store locations nationwide. It is the company’s seventh store in Michigan, with more in the planning stages as the company continues its expansion across the United States.
In time for back-to-school shoppers, the new Forman Mills store will feature more than 42,000-square-feet of designer fashions sold at significant discounts on high-profile brand name apparel. High-profile brands often prohibit the company from advertising their products in their stores, according to a Forman Mills press release.
The store offers apparel for every member of the family. There is a wide assortment of men’s, women’s and children’s every day and special occasion apparel, as well as school uniforms, shoes and home fashions. The discounter is one of the area’s leading sources of school uniforms, as well as collegiate and major league team apparel.
