HEIGHTS — The city began its water main project on Warren Avenue between Beech Daly and Inkster roads and paving project on Beech Daly between Ford Road and Warren Avenue this week.
During the water main project, the curb-side lane on westbound Warren will be closed for the five- to six-week construction period.
Residents will be able to access side streets into their neighborhoods, but will not have access to water for about 8 hours.
Construction workers will notify residents about the shutoff period and instruct residents on the proper startup process following the shutdown.
The road paving construction project also began this week and is expected to be completed on Aug. 17, weather permitting.
While Beech Daly progresses, one lane in each direction and the center turn lane will be closed only when work is being done.
The city’s website is asking residents to drive with caution during the construction.
“Please exercise care and caution (and reduce your speed) when driving along this route,” the website read. “Help us keep our road crews safe.”
