August 16, 2018 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR — Start times for today’s Junior League World Series games have been delayed two hours because of rain.

USA West (California) and USA Central (Illinois) will now begin play at 6 p.m., instead of 4 p.m. as originally scheduled. USA West and USA Central are both 2-1 in the USA Divisional Bracket, and the winner earns a berth in the USA Finals against USA Southwest (Texas) on Saturday, while the loser is eliminated.

The game between Australia and Mexico, each 2-1, is now scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Similar to the situation with USA West and USA Central, the winner of the Australia-Mexico game earns a berth opposite defending champion Chinese Taipei on Saturday in the International Finals, and the loser is eliminated.
