TRENTON – To communicate better with residents, the Trenton Public Schools has moved high school principal Michael Doyle into the role of community liaison director, with Ron Diroff becoming the principal.
Supt. Rodney Wakeham announced earlier this week that keeping the public better informed about school district events and initiatives will help it meet its strategic goals of fostering better two-way communications and expanding outreach. Wakeham said Wayne County Enhancement millage funds will cover the expense of the new position.

Diroff, who served as the high school’s vice principal, has been with the district for 18 years, joining the district in 2000 as a middle school science teacher.
Doyle came to the district from Allen Park Public Schools in 2000, and served as the high school assistant principal and athletic director until his 2004 promotion to high school principal.
