Most city offices closed
DEARBORN – With Veterans Day falling on Sunday this year, most city offices and facilities will be closed on Sunday and will remain closed on Monday in observance of the national holiday.
Collection of curbside trash, recyclables and yard waste will resume as normal on Nov. 12.
Loose leaf collection will also occur as scheduled on Nov. 12 for residents who live in the Monday trash collection district.
The Dearborn Administrative Center will be closed as normal on Sunday. It will remain closed on Monday, which is the day Veterans Day is officially being observed this year.
All branches of the Dearborn Public Library will also be closed on both Nov. 11 and 12.
The Senior Center inside the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will be closed on Nov. 12. The rest of the Ford Center and the Dearborn Ice Skating Center will have regular hours on Nov. 11 and 12.
The city’s annual Veterans Day ceremony begins at 11 a.m. Nov. 11 in the Michael A. Guido Theater at the Ford Center, 15801 Michigan Ave. The public is invited to attend.
