DOWNRIVER – One southbound lane of I-75 from I-96 to Springwells Street opened Nov. 15, a Michigan Department of Transportation spokesperson said, and multiple freeway entrances ramps have reopened.
With just one southbound lane open, drivers are cautioned to expect backups. Entrance ramps to southbound I-75 at Dearborn Street and Schaefer Highway also have reopened.
The southbound I-75 service drive will have two lanes open at the Springwells entrance ramp to southbound I-75, and Fort Street drivers can use the Springwells entrance to access southbound I-75.

The MDOT release reported that all concrete work on the Rouge River Bridge had been completed, and the Goddard Road bridges were complete.
Work continues on 11 other Downriver bridges, which might be finished during December if the weather allows work crews to continue with limited interruptions.
The concrete and sewer work between Clark Street and Springwells is expected to be completed in December or early 2019, depending on weather conditions.
