DEARBORN – Santa Claus might have trouble shimmying down a chimney, but he has no problem sliding down a firefighter’s pole.
Families are invited to meet Santa, celebrate the holidays and support the charitable Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive.
The annual event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 at the Fire Safety House, 19750 Outer Drive, next to Fire Station Two.
The public is invited.
Children will receive goodie bags, cookies, hot cocoa and balloons. And, of course, they will have the opportunity to tell Santa their wishes.
Donations will be collected at the event for the Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive, a non-profit group aimed at assisting children and people in need.
Money raised from donations will be used to purchase toys, which will be delivered to children in hospitals by Dearborn firefighters before Christmas.
