Large-scale construction project wraps up
DEARBORN – Cherry Hill from Telegraph to Outer Drive will reopened today after crews concluded a large-scale construction project on one of the city’s main residential corridors.
The federally funded project included the replacement of sewers, water main and concrete.
The project was administered by the Michigan Department of Transportation and managed by Rowe Consultants.
Construction on Cherry Hill began in May. The project was slated to be completed by October; however, a statewide labor dispute between a heavy equipment operators union and an organization of road construction contractors delayed the project’s completion in September.
