3 contenders in Melvindale mayoral race

MELVINDALE – Three contenders have entered the mayoral race: current City Council members Nicole Barnes and Wheeler Marsee, and former pool manager Ian Striz, son of current Mayor Stacy Bazman.

Two candidates are running for city clerk: Lisa Cadez and Melinda Land. Incumbent Treasurer Michel Belch is running unopposed.

Ten candidates are running for City Council: Johnny Barnett, Dawn Cartrette, Steven Densmore, Stanley Filipowski, Patrick S. Frederick, Joe Jackson, Barbara Keahl, Betty Lindlbauer, Julie Rauser and Asseel Saeed.
