Retired U.S. Army Sgt. Joanne Springer explores her new mortgage-free home in Dearborn that was gifted to her March 21 by the Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals and Bank of America. Springer filed an application to the VAREP in hopes of becoming a homeowner leading to her receiving the fully furnished and newly renovated house, WJBK Channel 2 reported. During her time in the Army from 1975 to 1980, Springer served as an aircraft mechanic.
