June 14, 2019 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

Open to children in grades 1-6

DEARBORN — Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church will host Westminster on the Road, a weeklong combination of Vacation Bible School and summer camp, from June 24 to 28.

Enrollment is open for children who have completed first through sixth grades. WOTR camp hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and include activity sessions, Bible lessons, arts and crafts, nature, adventure, music and drama. Lunch and two healthy snacks are provided daily.

Before the conclusion of each day there will be a “camp fire check in” with favorite camp songs and skits before closing the day with a Bible verse and theme.

The camp is a joint effort between Camp Westminster on Higgins Lake and members of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church, 24110 Cherry Hill Road.

Cost for the weeklong camp is $75 per child; financial assistance is available if needed. Registration forms are available online at www.cherryhillchurch.org, or in the church office, which is open 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“We believe this will be a wonderful outreach to our own children and to children in the community,” said the Rev. Mark Phillips, pastor of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church.

For additional information, call Phillips at 313-563-4800.
