DEARBORN — The Ford Community & Performing Arts Center will be open as a cooling center for Dearborn residents during the current heat wave.

The Ford Center will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Police Chief Ronald Haddad cautioned the public to stay cool during this hot weather, and exercise caution when outdoors. He also advised people to check on friends, neighbors and family who may be susceptible to the hot conditions.
