August 29, 2019 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – The city’s trash pickup will be delayed by one day for the week of Sept. 2 to 6 due to the Labor Day holiday Sept. 2.

Trash will be picked up Tuesday through Saturday. Homes with regular Monday trash pickups will be serviced on Tuesday; homes with regular Tuesday trash pickups will be serviced on Wednesday, and so on.

The Dearborn Administrative Center, Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 19th District Court and the Dearborn Ice Skating Center will be closed on Labor Day. The DISC also will close early at 1 p.m. Aug. 31 and Sept. 1.

Bryant and Esper branch libraries will be closed during the entire weekend from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2. After Labor Day, both libraries will resume their current extended hours while Henry Ford Centennial Library is closed for renovations.

City buildings will reopen with normal business hours on Sept. 3.

Public Service Days are not enforced on weeks during which a holiday disrupts the trash collection schedule; however, residents should keep parked vehicles off the streets whenever possible on trash days and Public Service Days.
