STEP announces 3rd annual Steps to Success casino fundraiser Oct. 24

Services to Enhance Potential, a nonprofit organization that provides and supports employment options to those with disabilities in Wayne County, is will host its third annual Steps to Success casino night fundraiser from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Western Wayne Resource Center, 450 S. Venoy Road, Westland.

Tickets are $75 with sponsorships available ranging from $1,000 to $7,500. Tickets are available online at www.stepcentral.org; the reservation deadline is Oct. 14.

“Bet on Step” will be an evening of casino games, food, drinks and entertainment with a complimentary bar included.

“We are excited to announce this third annual casino Steps to Success fundraiser,” STEP CEO and President Brent Mikulski said. “We invite anyone who is interested in furthering the opportunities for those with disabilities and other mental health needs in Wayne County. We want you to learn more about STEP and what we are doing to employ and empower those seeking job options so they can achieve personal satisfaction in their own lives.”

STEP is a non-profit organization which provides supports and services to nearly 1,300 people with disabilities and other mental health needs in Wayne County. One of STEP’s major goals is to increase the number of people who are employed, self-employed, and volunteering in their communities.

Founded in 1972 to bring an employment focus to those with disabilities, STEP provides and supports a variety of employment and self-employment options.
