HEIGHTS — A second shooting threat was reported in five days at Annapolis High School, 4650 Clippert, by a student, according to a Dearborn Heights District No. 7 Facebook post.

The high school administration was informed Oct. 16 the student had posted a threat on Snapchat to carry out a school shooting.

With the help of police, a full investigation was completed, and the student was removed from the school and turned over to the Wayne County Prosecutor.

“It seems that some of our students do not realize the seriousness of these types of statements/posts,” the Facebook post read. “This is not a joke. Every single threat will be removed and turned over to the prosecutor. The consequences are HEAVY.”

Parents were asked to have a conversation with their children at home about making threats.

“I’m proud of our students for reporting these threats immediately,” the post read. “We are all kept safe because of that.”

On Oct. 10 another student made a threat that he would carry out a school shooting on Oct. 11 which was reported and handled by the AHS administration.

That threat also was investigated and turned over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
