Victorian Christmas Open House Dec. 7 at Historical Museum

Refreshments, fun activities for kids, ornate 1860s-style decorations

DEARBORN — The public is invited to visit the Dearborn Historical Museum to participate in a family friendly Christmas ceremony set in the past.

From 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 7, the Museum Guild of Dearborn will host a Victorian-style Christmas celebration at the Commandant’s Quarters, 21950 Michigan Ave. Visitors can relish in the elaborate 1860s-style decorations, hot tea, and freshly made cookies.

In addition to the decorations and refreshments, there will be games and crafts for children. Kids also can meet Santa Claus at the event from 3 to 6 p.m.

The event is free and open to all.
