7-Eleven sells half-million-dollar winning lottery ticket

MELVINDALE – A Michigan Lottery customer at 7 Eleven, 18210 Allen Road, won a jackpot about 6 p.m. Thursday evening, winning $510,714 in the Fast Cash Progressive Jackpot.

Clerk Denise Spicer, who sold the man the winning ticket, said she was almost as excited as he was, and continued to tell customers about his good luck long after he left.

Retailers receive a flat bonus commission payment of $2,000 on valid winning tickets purchased at their store and redeemed for prizes greater for $100,000, excluding Classic Lotto 47 and Mega Millions, jackpot-winning tickets for match-five plus Power Play winning tickets for Powerball, Match 7 winning tickets for Lucky Lines with wager amounts greater than $1, and top prize-winning tickets for Millionaire Raffle, Super Raffle, Lucky 7s Raffle, and Win for Life Raffle.
