DEARBORN – The Dearborn Community Arts Council hosts its 25th annual Juried Photography Exhibition through March 11 at Padzieski Art Gallery in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.

Teresa Lousias, a Dearborn photographer and teacher who died in 2018, will again be honored with cash prizes in her name. A ProCam gift card and $100 will go to the “Best of Show” winner, with additional $50 cash prizes and ProCam gift cards going to winners in the “Color,” “Black and White” and “Digitally Altered” categories.

Art enthusiasts are invited to experience the show and purchase limited, one-of-a-kind art photography.

The exhibition represents all ages, interests and walks of life expressed through the three categories. The artistic range on display presents a chance to experience the world of photography elevated from simple “picture taking” to a higher level of expression and creativity.

Helping to define the elusive line between fine art and simple observation is this year’s judge, Nik Haskin. Haskin is a Dearborn-based photographer, graphic designer and independent filmmaker.

His other creative work consists of mixed media experimental art as well as science fiction influenced props and set construction. Haskin’s work has been showcased regionally and internationally.

The Ford Center is at 15801 Michigan Ave.
