TAYLOR — A resident saw two men enter a dark-colored Chevrolet Monte Carlo with an Ohio license plate in the 22000 block of Bernard Street shortly before an early morning auto larceny was discovered Feb. 27 in the 22000 block of Harmon Street.

Another resident in the 22000 block of Bernard Street said he saw the men — both described as black — walking around his neighbor’s vehicles, and he saw one of the men lifted up a tonneau cover.

By following the footprints in the snow, the police officers found a vehicle on Harmon with the door ajar and the dome light on. When the police officers spoke to the vehicle owner, the learned that change from the center console, and a microwave oven in the trunk, valued at $380, were stolen. There were no nearby surveillance cameras which might have captured footage of the larceny.
