TRENTON — The top half of a human skull was found in a fire pit July 6 by the new residents of a house on Wilson Avenue.
Police officers retrieved the skull, along with other bone fragments and miscellaneous items. A police detective was also called to the scene.

The new homeowners had purchased the house in May. Police officials confirmed that the former resident had died in a police shootout in Tennessee in late June.
