Crestwood School Board accepts applications for vacant seat

HEIGHTS — The Crestwood School District is seeking to fill a vacant position on its board of education after Trustee Lynne Senia was appointed the new Dearborn Heights city clerk.

Senia’s resignation was effective July 28 after the decision was made at a July 23 city council meeting. She will serve out the rest of former Clerk Walter Prusiewicz’s term ending Dec. 31, 2021 after he resigned last month.

The school district accepted applications through Aug. 6. Applicants were asked to pick up an information pack from the board office with details regarding the position and steps to apply.

Next, the board will conduct interviews before selecting an new trustee. The individual chosen will serve the reminder of Senia’s term which ends Dec. 31, 2022.
