Police responded to two separate shootings on Aug. 25 with one happening behind a plaza at Michigan Avenue and Schalff just after 5:30 p.m.
Witness reported that a dispute took place between two men before a gun was drawn. The TCD Instagram post said that after a physical altercation, one of the men drew the gun, shooting the other man before fleeing the scene.
The man who was shot was transported to a local hospital for the non-fatal gunshot wound.
Later that night, police were dispatched to the Dearborn Ice Skating Center, 14900 Ford Road, about 10:30 p.m. also for shots fired in the area.
Shortly after the shooting, a wounded man drove himself to Beaumont Hospital-Dearborn with a gunshot wound to his arm. Witnesses in the DISC parking lot said they saw a vehicle drive by shooting multiple shots at another vehicle before fleeing.
Dearborn Police are investigating the shooting.
On Aug. 22, three people robbed a man at gunpoint near the Dearborn Auto All 1, 13600 W. Warren Ave., that morning.
Police arrived at the scene just before 11 a.m. on the report of an armed robbery. A worker at the auto shop was asked to take a look at the robbers’ older model red Dodge Ram pickup truck when they produced weapons and held the employee at gunpoint. The TCD Instagram post said each attacker was carrying a semiautomatic handgun.
The robbers demanded that the worker turn over any valuables he had in his possession then proceeded to flee northbound toward Detroit.
A police report filed Aug. 18 stated that $45,000 worth of electronics was stolen from Super Greenland Market, 12715 W. Warren Ave., a TCD post said.
Officers were dispatched to the market about 2:45 a.m. after the store alarm went off, but when police reached the area they determined it was a false alarm after they were unable to find evidence of a break-in.
Four hours later, a call to police was made by employees who reported to the market for work and noticed a broken window. Employees discovered items from the electronics and phones section were missing.
No suspect information was included in the post.
