DPS moves Monday study session on school reopening to 5:30 p.m.

October 22, 2020 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Dearborn Public Schools moved the Oct. 26 study session on reopening schools up to 5:30 p.m.

An online form to submit public comments will open at 4 p.m. that day.

The meeting will again be broadcast live on the district’s YouTube, Facebook and cable channel. There are also limited seats available for the public.  Face masks are required for those planning to attend in person.

The Board of Education voted to add the Oct. 26 study session to its schedule earlier this month when it approved continuing online learning into November.  District administration plans to present more information about how sanitation and other measures would be handled when schools reopen as well as options for how schools could restart with blended learning where students divide their time between learning in school and at home.

The meeting agenda will be posted Oct. 23, on the Board of Education page in the documents near the bottom of the page. Any presentations for the meetings will be linked to the agenda document once they are ready for the public.
