DEARBORN – Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church will air an online Christmas concert for people to enjoy in the comfort of their homes at 7 p.m. Dec. 18. The concert will be pre-recorded in the church sanctuary and available to watch on the church’s website, www.cherryhillchurch.org, or Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CherryHillDearborn.

“Charles Miller, our organist and director of music, has recruited outstanding musicians to share their talents for this special performance,” said the Rev. Mark Phillips, pastor of Cherry Hill Presbyterian. “Music has very healing properties, and we hope it will bring cheer to many people during this holiday season.”

In addition to Miller, performers include David Hufford, organist and director of music at Angelica Lutheran Church in Allen Park; Hannah Hammel, principal flutist for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra; Anna Bosler, pianist, violinist and choir member at Cherry Hill Presbyterian; Giles Simmer, soprano and choir section leader at Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Detroit; and Randall Nicholls, tenor and choir section leader at Cherry Hill Presbyterian.

Instrumental and vocal performances will include well known pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frederick Handel along with familiar Christmas carols “Sweet Little Jesus Boy,” “I Wonder as I Wander,” “The First Noel,” “Gesu Bambino,” and many others.
