DEARBORN – Given the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, and the reduced hours at the Dearborn Administrative Center, the city wants to remind residents that convenient services are offered online, by mail, or by phone.
Paying bills
For those wanting to pay bills but don’t want to come inside the DAC, 16901 Michigan Ave., there are several easy and efficient ways to pay tax and water bills.
Automatic Transfer: Residents may choose to have their property tax and water bills automatically deducted from their accounts monthly through the Automated Clearing House Debit system. The service is free, secure and easy to arrange. You must submit a completed ACH form to the Treasury Division with a copy of a voided check or statement from your bank verifying your routing and account number. Forms are available at cityofdearborn.org.
Online: Residents can pay online at cityofdearborn.org. Additional processing fees may apply.
DivDat kiosks, app or website: Residents can pay their water and tax bills with cash, check or card at several DivDat Kiosks throughout the Metro Detroit area, or through e-check or credit card on the DivDat phone app. There is a 3 percent convenience fee applied to all debit or credit card transactions. In Dearborn, kiosks are located inside the DAC; Dearborn Fresh Supermarket, 13661 Colson; and Super Greenland Market, 12715 W. Warren Ave. More information on DivDat can be found on its website, https://www.divdat.com.
By phone: For property tax bills, miscellaneous invoices, special assessment bills and delinquent personal property taxes only, residents can pay by calling 866-518-2301.
By mail: Bill payments can be sent to the DAC through USPS. The city does not accept postmarks; payment must be received by the due date.
Drop box at the DAC: Residents can avoid coming inside the DAC and use the 24-hour drop box in front of the DAC. Bills and checks must be placed in a sealed envelope and placed in the drop box no later than 5 p.m. on the due date.
