HEIGHTS — Police were dispatched to Prepaid Solutions, 26008 Ford Road, just before 4 a.m. Jan. 19 for a burglary alarm. Once at the scene, police observed the bottom portion of the front glass door shattered.

The store was cleared, with no suspects inside and the rear door was locked with a dead bolt.

A backsliding door to two display cases were found open as was a drawer to a desk behind the supply cases. The store owner arrived and told officers he was contacted by the alarm company who then contacted police.

Approximately six to seven Samsung smart phones were taken from the display case nearest the east wall; directly next that display case, a few cellphone accessories such as bluetooth speakers were stolen; and a few more smart phones were stolen from the drawer behind the display cases.

The store owner did not know the exact number of items stolen, the exact model of the items or serial numbers at the time of the report. He told police that he would look through his paperwork to obtain that information.

The scene was photographed and placed into evidence.
