HEIGHTS — A man living at a house in the 24600 block of Andover contacted police Jan. 12 to file a larceny from auto report on behalf of his father. The black Chevy Silverado is owned by the resident’s father, according to the report.

Police were told that the Silverado was parked in the driveway about 8 p.m. Jan. 11, and at 8 a.m. the next day the man discovered the vehicle had been rummaged through.

The resident said nothing was missing from the interior, but his portable generator that was unsecured in the bed of the Silverado was stolen.

There was no suspect information and the report said the Silverado was unlocked at the time of the reported break-in.
