DEARBORN — A woman was banned from Sun Nails and Spa in Westborn Mall, 23201 Michigan Ave., on Jan. 8 after she launched into a shouting, mask-less tirade in which she claimed a nail technician had caused her pain when removing an acrylic nail.

The salon manager said that a nail technician at a previous salon had applied the acrylic nail with too much glue. It was noted that the woman’s thumb was not damaged or bleeding, and that the original nail was intact. The customer declined medical treatment.

The manager said that because of the disturbance the woman caused, and her subsequent refusal to put her mask back on, he wished to have her legally banned from the salon. The woman was advised, and left without further incident.
