SOUTHGATE — A Southgate man reported Feb. 25 that he received a past due bill for a residence in another Michigan city, where his name had been used to fraudulently open a DTE account.

The victim was advised to file a police report to initiate a claim, which he did, providing police officers with the address and additional information about the possible perpetrator.
