HEIGHTS — Police were called to a house on Coolidge by a resident who said a white pick-up truck drove on the sidewalk and grass, south of Midway west of Amboy to Coolidge June 26. He also said it appeared the truck drove on turf due to the street being flooded.

Once at the scene, the responding officer did not see damage on the resident’s lawn, but observed minor damage on the north lawn closer to the curb of Coolidge and Midway. The resident said he wanted the incident documented and would like to prosecute.

A Dearborn Heights sergeant called the resident who said he reviewed security video but was unable to obtain a license plate or driver description. It was determined the damage wasn’t intentionally done, but the driver did drive in a careless manner. The case did not move forward due to lack of an identification of the vehicle or driver.
