WYANDOTTE —A 19-year-old Southfield man was arrested at 11:07 a.m. Dec. 29 in the 500 block of Chestnut Street for possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, and for resisting and obstructing police.
He was initially spotted by a police officer who detected behaviors consistent with the illegal sale of narcotics.
The police officer pulled the car keys out of the ignition to prevent the suspect from fleeing in his vehicle. The man then exited from the passenger door and took off running, but was no match for the pursuing police officer.
