TAYLOR — A 29-year-old Taylor woman walked out of Family Dollar, 22635 Ecorse Road, the afternoon of March 7 wearing $55 worth of clothing for which she did not pay.
The assistant manager said he watched the woman go to the clothing department, where she put on a hooded sweatshirt, sweatpants and socks.
He asked her to remove the items and leave the store, but she refused. When he called police officers, she screamed her name, address and driver’s license number, which was audible to dispatch, then left the store with the stolen clothes.
The incident was captured on surveillance footage, which the employee promised to forward to the detective bureau.
Police officers followed up at the woman’s address of record, but were unable to make contact with her.
