April 28, 2022 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Job seekers ages 16 and over are invited to attend a job fair hosted by the Parks and Recreation Department at 3 p.m. May 5.

The four-hour event will take place at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.

The department will be attempting to fill seasonal positions and year-round part-time positions.

Seasonal positions include park aides and park rangers, playground directors and activity leaders, camp counselors, lifeguards, Camp Dearborn laborers and recreation coordinators, and several positions at Mystic Creek—the city operated golf course on the grounds of Camp Dearborn—including golf cart attendants, starter/ranger, pro shop staff, groundskeepers, and maintenance coordinator.

Year-round part-time positions include Zamboni operators and concession helpers at the Dearborn Ice Skating Center; gym attendants, custodians, fitness instructors, bus drivers and service desk staff at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center; stagehands, tech support and bartenders at the Michael A. Guido Theater; and kitchen assistants, waitress staff, chef’s assistants and banquet chefs at the Mystic Creek Golf Course.

On-site interviews will be conducted with qualified applicants and contingent employment offers may be offered.

The event will have a Cinco de Mayo theme and will feature raffle drawings and refreshments.
